Description

This simple and soothing honey trick recipe blends raw honey with warm water, lemon, cinnamon, and optional ginger or turmeric. Used both in the morning and at night, it supports cognitive clarity, reduces brain fog, and aids restful sleep for memory consolidation.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water (steaming, not boiling)
  • 1 tbsp raw honey (preferably local or Manuka)
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder

Optional Add-ons:

  • 2–3 slices fresh ginger
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. Heat water until steaming but not boiling (160-170°F or about 70-75°C).
  2. Pour water into a mug. Stir in raw honey until dissolved.
  3. Add lemon juice and cinnamon. Stir well.
  4. For added benefits, include ginger slices and/or turmeric. Let steep 3-5 minutes. Strain if desired.
  5. Enjoy warm, ideally on an empty stomach in the morning or 30-60 minutes before bed for the night-time version.

Notes

Use only raw, unfiltered honey to preserve its enzymes and antioxidants. Avoid boiling water to prevent nutrient loss. You can adapt the recipe with herbal teas like chamomile for sleep, or green tea for a daytime boost.
