Description

These easy Moose Farts are chewy, chocolatey, coconutty balls of goodness made with graham crackers and condensed milk. Perfect for parties, kid-friendly activities, and satisfying quick dessert cravings. No oven required!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (113g / 4 tbsp) Unsalted Butter
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 can (14 oz / 396g) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1.5 cups (150g) Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • 1.5 cups (128g) Shredded Coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)
  • 1.5 cups (255g) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup (50g) Extra Graham Cracker Crumbs (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Melt Butter: Place butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between, until fully melted (approx. 1 minute). Use caution, bowl may be hot.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients: Pour melted butter into a large mixing bowl. Stir in vanilla extract and sweetened condensed milk until smoothly combined.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Add 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs, 1.5 cups shredded coconut, and 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips to the wet mixture. Stir until thoroughly combined and no dry spots remain.
  4. Chill Dough: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up the mixture, making it easier to handle.
  5. Prepare Rolling Station: Pour the extra 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs into a shallow dish.
  6. Shape Balls: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the chilled dough and roll between palms into 1-inch balls.
  7. Coat Balls: Roll each ball in the extra graham cracker crumbs until evenly coated.
  8. Final Chill (Optional but Recommended): Place coated balls on a parchment-lined sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes to set completely before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Sticky Dough: If dough is too sticky, chill longer or lightly grease hands.
  • Dry Dough: Add a tiny bit more condensed milk (1 tsp at a time) if needed.
  • Uniform Size: Use a 1-tablespoon cookie scoop for consistency.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Freeze for up to 1 month (thaw before serving).
  • Variations: Try different chocolate chips (milk, dark, white, peanut butter), roll in coconut or cocoa powder, add cinnamon or almond extract, or mix in chopped nuts.
